LIST OF MATERIALS SUPPLIED IN OUR BASIC KITS

  • Squared-off treated pine logs 64 mm x 241 mm (3" x 10") planed and pre-soaked.
  • Treated pine colums planed and pre-soaked (same thickness as logs).
  • Keys 16 mm (1" x 3") System at the bottom of each column.
  • Weather-tight gasket on subfloor (under the flashing)
  • Metal flashing under the first row of logs.
  • Galvanized corrugated iron strip under the first row of logs.
  • Outside T-shaped moulding each side of columns.**
  • 16 mm x 64 mm (lin x 3 in.) furring behind the log wall.
  • Weather-tight paper behind the log wall and for upper walls.
  • Wall framing 38 mm x 140 mm (2" x 6") studs for 600 mm (24") spacing behind the log wall.**
  • Inside drop siding behind the log wall except on service room and bedroom walls (as indicated on price list).**
  • 25 mm x 25 mm (1-1/8" x 1-1/18") inside moulding in corners where drop siding is required.**
  • * Wood beams supporting the second floor with a maximum spacing of 1,2 m (4').
  • 38 mm (2") tongued and grooved pine boards for the second floor.
  • 38 mm x 140 mm (2" x 6") plate on the upper subfloor.**
  • Prefab trusses for 600 mm (2') spacing. **
  • 89 mm x 241 mm (4" x 10" ) eaves decorative supports (for Mountain Lodge Classic version only).
  • * Upper wall framing, 38 mm x 140 mm (2" x 6" studs for 610 mm (2') spacing. **

  • Roof sheathing, 12,5 mm x 1220 mm x 2440 mm (1/2" x 4" x 8") standard type spruce plywood panels.
  • 38 mm x 89 mm (2" x 4") lookout rafters, 610 mm (24") spacing for gable and overhang roof.**
  • Facia board, 29 mm x 140 mm (1-1/4" x 6") pine board along the roof edge.**
  • 16 mm (1") Tongue and groove pine boards for upper and dormer wall siding.**
  • 16 mm x 64 mm (1" x 3") Furrings behind upper and dormer wall siding.
  • 16 mm (1") Tongue and groove pine boards for roof overhang soffit.**
  • Bulls-eye (decorative frame for ventilation).
  • 3 coats of stain for outside part of logs, siding and frieze soffit.
  • All nails and metal straps required for the log wall mounting.
  • Shoring studs twenty 3,7 m x 38 mm x 89 mm (12' x 2" x 4") and six 3,7 m x 38 mm x 140 mm
  • (12' x 2" x 6").**
  • Plywood sheets 12,5 mm x 1220 mm x 2440 mm (1/2" x 4' x 8') for exterior upper walls.
